The BallerCam Super Cooler Fan is based on Peltier Fan technology and is designed for hot-weather recording. It swaps into the same slot as the standard BallerCam fan and adds active cooling to help keep your phone recording during hot games. It is intended for outdoor sideline use when shade and the BallerCam back cover are available.
The Super Cooler has been tested in hot conditions, including up to 105°F with iPhone 15 Pro and newer when used with shade and the BallerCam back cover, and 100°F+ with iPhone 13 Pro. Based on internal testing, it has supported approximately 2–3 hours of continuous recording in hot conditions, though actual runtime will vary by phone model, current phone battery level, shade, airflow, and recording setup.
For Best Results:
- Start with a fully charged phone
- Use the BallerCam back cover
- Keep BallerCam shaded whenever possible
- Avoid direct sun when possible
- Make sure the Super Cooler’s airflow is not blocked

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING THE SUPER COOLER FAN
1. With the front of the BallerCam facing you, pop out the existing fan using the tab.
2. Unplug the USB cord from the battery and remove the fan completely.
3. Grab your new Super Cooler Fan and slide it into the same opening where the existing fan sat.
4. Press down until you hear it snap into place, and then plug the USB cord into the battery.
OTHER THINGS TO KNOW:
- We also recommend using the BallerCam back cover and a weather shield, and avoiding direct sun whenever possible.
- The fan runs continuously whenever your BallerCam is powered on, so it sounds the same the entire time. The intensive active cooling ramps up automatically as your BallerCam heats up, and there isn't a precise temperature where it switches on, so don't worry if you can't tell exactly when it engages. Since the extra cooling is really only needed in the heat, we recommend using the standard BallerCam fan when it's below about 90°F outside.
- The spring-loaded cold plate will press against the BallerCam's metal adapter plate, but the cold plate doesn't touch the phone directly.
- The Super Cooler Fan has been tested with iPhone 15 Pro and newer at up to 105°F in ambient heat (with shade and the BallerCam back cover), and tested with iPhone 13 Pro at 100°F+.
- In extreme heat, we recommend recording only rather than live streaming. Live streaming works your phone harder and generates more heat, so it is best reserved for when you have the Super Cooler Fan plus the precautions above (shade, the BallerCam back cover, and a weather shield) in place. Above roughly 105°F, streaming reliability depends heavily on your iPhone model, as newer phones such as the iPhone 15 Pro and up handle heat noticeably better.
