What Kind of Tripod Do I need?
It is generally recommended that you use BallerCam with a tripod.

I have used the BallerCam only a few times, but the few times I have used it have been very good. I am very satusfied. The quality of the recording is very good and being able to upload in HD just makes it that much better. This was a very positive purchace and experience.

Finally, an affordable AI sports camera with NO monthly subscriptions. Your fam, friends and teammates don’t have to pay either to watch the footage or live streams. It records, livestreams, and tracks the ball perfectly.
Even if the AI tracking gets distracted (which all AI cameras do), the 180-degree recording means you can manually move the view back to the action in post-production. You never actually lose the footage.
Pro-tip: Don't want to lose your phone during the game? Use your player's phone for the camera rig and keep yours for texting and keeping score. Highly recommend!
I am incredibly happy with my BallerCam. I wanted an affordable sports camera, and this does everything the pricier competitors do for a fraction of the cost: AI tracking, livestreaming, automatic highlights and more. The best part? Zero subscription fees. You don’t pay a monthly sub, and neither do the friends or family you share clips with. They don’t even need to download an app to watch.
A note on the AI tracking: I’ve seen some complaints, but it hasn’t been an issue for me. Once, the AI followed a group of kids playing with a ball off to the side instead of the game. However, because BallerCam always records a full 180-degree field of view, I was able to "fix" the frame in post-production. It didn't actually miss the action; the AI just looked at the wrong spot for a few secs.
Lastly, for those worried about being without their phone: just use your kid’s phone in the rig! They’re on the field and don't need it. That way, you keep your own phone for scoring, editing highlights, and staying connected.
