Announcing a new way to keep score and track detailed player stats for Basketball on the BallerCam app!
Previously when you scored a basketball game in the BallerCam app, you would use "Basic" scoring for standard 2-pointers, 3-pointers, and free throws. Now when you score a game on the BallerCam app, you have the option to turn on Advanced Stat Keeping, which gives parents and coaches more scoring options.
Track it All with Advanced Stat Keeping
With Advanced Stats, you get the flexibility to log even more basketball actions beyond the "Basic" scoring you get today. Advanced Stats are available for just your team or for both teams.
That includes:
- Assists
- Offensive Rebounds
- Defensive Rebounds
- Turnovers
- Steals
- Blocks
- Fouls
- Timeouts
Link Stats to Players with Player Attribution
Advanced Stats also supports Player Attribution. With Player Attribution, you can assign any action above to specific players to track their performance throughout the game.
To take full advantage of this, you’ll want to make sure you add your full roster.
Every entry is recorded in the Game Log menu, and player totals roll up on the Roster tab, so stats stay current as your score.
This feature is designed to run on a second iOS device that is logged into a BallerCam app account and that has scoring privileges for your team (like your account, team staff, or a parent). This way, you have a second device that focuses solely on scoring and stat entry.
Get Personalized Player Alerts for your Favorites
Not only do Advanced Stats and Player Attribution let you keep detailed stats on all of your players, but when you “favorite” players on the team, BallerCam will also send push notifications related to when they go live, their in-game milestones, and their advanced stat summary at the end of the game—personalizing your BallerCam experience.
Like Magic: Automated Player Clips
Yet another reason to track advanced stats: When you score in real-time on a second device, BallerCam automatically creates clips for that play.
Tap on any play in the Play-by-Play menu to see the clip, which you can then save, clip, or share with others. You can also access the automatic clips from the Roster menu, where you can click on any player to view just their clips. Be on the lookout for autogenerated highlight reels, coming soon!

Finally, our Advanced Stats experience is designed to make scoring and stat-keeping as flexible as possible so that you can choose the level of statistical detail you want for your players and team. You have the flexibility to do any or all of the following…
