Flag football is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country, and with a spot on the Olympic stage on the horizon, more kids are stepping onto the field than ever. Now BallerCam supports it.
Flag football and 7v7 are now live in the BallerCam app, which means you can film and record games, keep score, capture every touchdown, and share highlights and moments, all from your iPhone and BallerCam on the sideline.
FAMILIAR SETUP, BUILT FOR FOOTBALL
Getting started with flag football feels exactly like getting started with any other sport in BallerCam. You create a team, pick your age group (from 4U all the way up through High School, College, and Adult), add your roster, mount your phone, and start the stream. There is no new hardware and no new learning curve.
The difference shows up on the screens that are specific to football. Instead of the soccer or basketball layout, you get a football scoreboard and a scoring screen designed around how the game is actually played. Everything else stays right where you expect it.

SCORING BUILT FOR FLAG FOOTBALL
The scoring screen is where flag football really feels at home. Rather than a single generic score button, you get the real scoring options for the game:
- Touchdown (+6)
- Safety (+2)
- Extra Point +1
- Extra Point +2
Tap a score, choose a player to attribute the score to, then watch the running score update instantly on your device and for anyone watching the livestream. You can keep score right from the phone that is filming, or hand a second iOS device to a parent or assistant coach and let them run the scoreboard while the camera does its thing.
Every scoring play lands in a live Scoring Plays list during the game and stays there after the final whistle, complete with the running score, so your full game story is captured without a separate stat sheet.
Need to fix something after the fact? You can add or adjust a scoring play in replay mode, set the period (Halves or Quarters, plus Overtime), and fine-tune exactly where the clip starts and ends.

AUTO-TRACKING TUNED FOR FLAG AND 7V7
BallerCam's automatic camera tracking has been optimized specifically for flag football and 7v7. The tracking model learns the flow of a flag and 7v7 field, the spacing of the players, and the pace of the game, so the camera follows the action and keeps everything in frame without anyone touching the phone.
One important note: auto-tracking for flag football is in beta and is being improved all the time. It is tuned for flag football and 7v7 only. It is not ready for tackle football yet, where the formations, field size, and pace are different. Hopefully we'll have an update on tackle in the near future.
MOMENTS: NEVER MISS A KEY PLAY
Moments work exactly like they do for every other sport in BallerCam. See a great play developing? Tap the Moment button and BallerCam bookmarks that exact spot in the game. Big interception, a clutch flag pull, a long touchdown run. Mark it and move on.
After the game, you can add tags to any Moment, including the player involved and the type of play (think pass, run, defense, interception, flag pull, big play, and more). Those tagged Moments become easy to find, easy to clip, and easy to share.

POST-GAME REPLAYS AND HIGHLIGHTS
When the game ends, BallerCam does the work it does for all sports: the full replay is ready to watch, and your scoring plays and Moments are turned into shareable clips automatically.
Make sure you HD upload your game after it's over, that way your game is viewable in a higher quality resolution for everyone watching the replays.

THE 180 EXPLORE VIEW: SEE THE WHOLE FIELD
The 180 Explore View is a customer favorite, and it is available for flag football just like it is for every other sport. BallerCam captures a wide, panoramic view of the field, so you can pan around and explore the action if anything is missed by the AI auto-tracking.
This is especially useful for flag football while auto-tracking is still in beta. If the camera ever misses a play or cuts away from the action, the 180 Explore View lets you go back, scrub to that moment, and pull the clip you wanted from the full-field footage. Nothing on the field is lost. If it happened in front of the camera, you can find it.

ROSTER MANAGEMENT
Roster management in flag football works just like the rest of BallerCam. Add your players, manage jersey numbers, and keep everyone organized so your scoring plays and Moments are attributed to the right athlete. Touchdowns even show up on each player's card, so it is easy to see who is finding the end zone over the course of a season.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does BallerCam support tackle football?
Not yet. BallerCam's auto-tracking is currently optimized for flag football and 7v7 only. Tackle football has different formations, field sizes, and pace, so it is not supported at this time. Support for additional formats may come in the future.
How do I score a flag football game in BallerCam?
Use the football scoring screen to tap Touchdown (+6), Safety (+2), Extra Point +1, or Extra Point +2, then choose the team. The running score updates instantly, and you can also tag which player scored on your roster.
What happens if the camera misses a play?
BallerCam records a wide, full-field view, so you can use the 180 Explore View to pan around and scrub back to any moment, even after the game. If it happened on the field, you can find it and clip it.
Is flag football auto-tracking the same as other sports?
The experience is the same, but the tracking model is tuned specifically for the flow of flag football and 7v7. It is in beta and improving continuously, and the 180 Explore View is always there as a backup.
Can I keep score from a second device?
Yes. You can score directly from the filming phone, or use a second iOS device so one person films while another runs the scoreboard. Scores sync between devices in real time.
