Say hello to a richer replay experience on BallerCam. Our new 180 Explore View gives everyone the power to control the field of view by dragging and pinching the video player to focus on any area of the field or court—ensuring you never miss the action.
With the addition of 180 Explore View, there are now 3 ways to watch and analyze replays. Read below to learn more.
Three viewing modes, one complete picture
While replays in Smart View (our original AI-powered tracking view) are available to all viewers after a game has ended, now when a game or practice has been HD uploaded by the filmer, it unlocks 2 new viewing modes. In other words, after upload, all three viewing options are available to everyone—parents, players, and coaches—so they can study the action from the angle that makes the most sense for them. See more details about each viewing mode below.

1) Smart View (AI-Powered Tracking)
This is how you would traditionally watch a BallerCam livestream or replay. Smart View uses BallerCam’s panning algorithm and ball-tracking AI to follow the play automatically, keeping the most important action centered. It’s perfect for quick rewatching since there are no controls required. You can relive goals, possessions, and breakaways without missing a beat.
2) NEW: Explore View (You Control the Frame)
Want to see what's playing out across the field? Or maybe Smart View didn't quite get the shot just right? In Explore View, you see a full interactive view of the field or court, so you can pan across the field or court and zoom into any moment within the camera’s capture manually. Track weak-side movement, isolate an individual player’s technique, or rewind to see the buildup before a big play. It’s like dragging a window across a 180-degree canvas, letting you decide exactly what to watch and how close to get.
3) NEW: Panoramic View (Static 180° Overview)
Want full context at a glance? Panoramic View provides a fixed, ultra-wide 180° image of the entire area visible to the camera. See spacing, shapes, and off-ball positioning in a single frame. Ideal for understanding structure, transitions, and team tactics across any sport.
(Note: While Smart View is available on desktop, mobile web, and the BallerCam app, Explore View and Panoramic View are only available on desktop and mobile web at the moment.)

In short: Use Smart View for a clean narrative of the play, jump to Explore View to inspect technique or catch a missed play, then flip to Panoramic to check team shape and coverage.
Works for all supported sports
Smart View, Explore View, and Panoramic View are all optimized to work for soccer, basketball, and volleyball today, but we're working on adding more sports soon. More to come!

Create custom clips from any mode
Sometimes the clip you need isn't in the field of view. But now, with all three modes, you can create custom clips and focus on the area of the field or court you need.
Just choose your moment, trim it, and save or publish to your BallerCam team. Capture the right angle in Explore, the clean finish in Smart View, or the tactical snapshot from Panoramic. Your clips keep the perspective you chose, so everyone sees what you intended to highlight.

Why 180° matters
Sports are spatial. The more of the field you see, the more the game makes sense. Additionally, while we continue to advance our AI tracking technology, we recognize that it doesn't always get the shot right 100% of the time. With Explore View and Panoramic View, you control what the camera sees so you never miss the play.
With a 180° source, Smart View delivers smooth, watchable replays; Explore View lets you dig into details; and Panoramic preserves the full picture. Together, they reveal both the “what” (the play) and the “why” (the positioning and decisions that made it possible).
