With our latest feature, Match Time for Soccer, we're bringing the official game clock directly into your BallerCam experience.
If you’ve ever watched a BallerCam soccer stream and tried to line up a big moment with the official game clock, you’ve probably noticed a disconnect. Until now, everything in BallerCam for soccer has been tied to stream time from the moment you hit “Go Live.” Match Time is our answer to that challenge, and best of all, it’s simple to get started.

HOW IT WORKS
At a high level, Match Time runs independently from your stream. It mirrors the real flow of the game—first half, halftime, second half—and automatically starts when your scorekeeper selects the time period at the beginning of play. That means you can start streaming early, get set up without pressure, and let the match clock begin exactly when the game does. No manual syncing or guesswork required. Here’s what to know:
-
Schedule your game in advance to use Match Time.
-
Set up 5-10 minutes early. Don't stress. Preview the camera angle. Start the stream when ready.
-
Switch time period when the whistle blows. This is what starts Match Time!
-
Switch to half-time to stop the clock
-
Resume when the whistle blows for the 2nd half
-
Switch time period to “Final” when the game ends to stop Match Time, but keep the stream going for post-game handshakes for the viewers.
For viewers, the live scoreboard now shows a true match clock throughout, so when a goal is scored at the 23rd minute, that’s exactly what they’ll see. It aligns the viewing experience with how fans, coaches, and players naturally think about the game. It also makes highlights easier to follow and more meaningful when shared.

ACCURATE TIMING FOR GOALS AND MOMENTS
For creators and scorekeepers, Match Time improves how events are captured and organized. Goals, Moments, and clips are now tagged with official match time instead of just stream time. That means better highlight labeling, cleaner game logs, and a more intuitive way to revisit key plays after the match. Over time, this also lays the groundwork for more advanced features tied to game context.

VERSATILE AND RELIABLE
The system is designed to handle real-world scenarios. Halftime is clearly defined, with reminders if the second half hasn’t started. You can even end Match Time while keeping the stream running for postgame moments. These controls reflect how games actually unfold, not just how a video timeline works.
Under the hood, Match Time is built to stay accurate and reliable. Even if the app is closed or restarted mid-game, the clock resumes in sync with where it should be. This ensures that what scorekeepers see, what viewers see, and what gets recorded in clips all stay aligned within a tight margin.
TIME TO GET STARTED
This is more than a visual update. Match Time introduces a foundation for how BallerCam can better understand and structure games across sports. While we’re starting with soccer, this approach opens the door to similar experiences in basketball, volleyball, and beyond.
Match Time is rolling out now when you schedule soccer games in the BallerCam app. If you’re already using scorekeeping, you’ll see it as part of your normal workflow, but just remember to set the time period as you keep score and mark moments. Game on!
