What Kind of Tripod Do I need?
It is generally recommended that you use BallerCam with a tripod.Here are our recommendations.
Ballercam 15' Tripod
Ideal for most soccer fields or getting a higher vantage point in the gym. Extends to 15', compacts to 5', weighs 11.8 lbs, and includes a carrying bag.
BALLERCAM 80" TRIPOD
Ideal for indoor setups, small fields or in the bleachers. Lightweight, folds small, and extends just above average head height.
OTHER TRIPOD OPTIONS
BallerCam works with most standard ¼" screw mount tripods, so you're welcome to use your own or purchase one from Amazon.

Great service and quality.
After doing some research and talking to other parents about other game recording devices, I used their feedback and input and invested in the BallerCam.
As a parent, coach, and head of Marketing for my town's travel team, this is a great tool to help with promo and ads.
I just got this the other day and used to live-stream my son's 6th-grade AAU basketball game.
It was the first time his family from both sides, who all live in separate states (MA, RI, NY, NJ, GA, FLA), got to see him play.
I was able to add the coaches, teammates, and their parents to the account as Coach, Parent, or Fan to view the livestream or to watch it later at their convenience.
A bonus was that my son and I got to review and analyze his performance. It's a great way to improve his game and basketball IQ by identifying opportunities.
The setup was pretty easy, it has a lot of useful features. Score keeping, player and team stat tracking, moments, highlights of big plays to post to SM and share with his friends. You can rewatch the entire game or watch it Play-by-play.
Other parents were impressed with the setup and video quality. One opposing parent who was using the Xbot Go Chameleon said “That looks professional”.

The 15' Tripod works great! I typically don't need to utilize the full 15 feet but it's good knowing the extra height is there if I need it. It is incredibly well built and easy setup and take down. The wide sturdy base keeps it securely in place during windy conditions. Including the bags for extra weight is a nice touch as well. I've only had to use them once, but I just threw a couple cornhole bags in each one and it worked perfectly. Definitely satisfied with this purchase. Would recommend to anyone recording games outdoors.
